Evaluation and Reporting
FY 2009 Evaluation Tools:
The PIMS for direct services has seen a face-lift, based on feedback provided by the preventionists using the system. We hope the improvements will help prevention programs not only with data entry, but also with data retrieval.
Programs receiving funds through OSAP are required to enter their monthly activities in the PIMS. This is a chance to report on all the activities in which the program has facilitated, developed, and been a participant or collaborator. PIMS entries are due the 8th of each month, except when the 8th falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case the entries are due the first business day following the 8th.
Program Managers, Value Options, and the management of the Public Health Division look to the PIMS entries to determine the work that was produced by the programs. Therefore, the details of that work are important to include each month in the narrative report. Programs should work with their assigned program manager to ensure the information they are providing includes that which their program manager seeks.
